I first search for vintage lunch boxes that are in good condition, inside and out. I prefer boxes that have 2 different sides so that they can be admired from both sides. Some boxes are numbered or from a limited edition.

The colors of the lunchboxes are often worn out, scratched off or faded by time and the sun. I paint the color back onto the metal and then find corresponding crystals to apply.

Look over the box in its entirety and see what changes can be made to increase the sparkling effect from the crystals. These changes may be made to include the addition of design or change in color placement.

Each crystal is placed on the box one by one. Regular checks of stone alignment and spacing are always necessary.

Lunchboxes originally were all made with a plastic handle across the top. To finish off the transformation from LunchBox to Object of Art, a top piece is created where the plastic handle once was.

These boxes can be placed on a sunny table in a bedroom, or on a well lit pedestal in any room of your home.

I have images posted of several but not all of my crystal boxes. I'd be happy to email images of any other available box.
